Gefen has re-established its dominance in the market with over thirty new UHD and AV over IP products, introduced at the recent InfoComm 2017 show. Here are some of the highlights.

The new BirdDog Studio NDI is the world's first hardware-based NDI video encoder – this camera mountable encoder will take your HDMI or SDI video signals up to 1080p60 and instantly transmit them over your Gigabit ethernet in real-time NDI picture quality.
Embrionix, manufacturer of the emSFP, has announced the release of a new generation of 12G-SDI optical video SFP. Its latest SFP technology will address the growing demand for 12G-SDI single-link 4K, as well as simplify video transport at higher data rates for 4K, 8K and 16K multi-link applications.

Now more affordable than ever, Ki Pro Ultra is the premiere file-based 4K/UltraHD and 2K/HD video recorder and player. Ki Pro Ultra v2.2 firmware offers Avid MXF support for HD workflows and is available as a free download here. The release adds recording and playback of DNxHD files with an OP1a profile within an MXF container for DNxHD HQX (220x), DNxHD SQ (145) and DNxHD LB (36) codecs. This provides a native MXF workflow for Avid pipelines free of transcoding.
A new member is joining Theatrixx’s popular line of xVision SDI converters, this time featuring audio de-embedding. Following Theatrixx’s commitment to using only professional, locking connectors, the new xVision SDI Audio De-Embedder boasts two Neutrik balanced XLR outputs assigned to SDI channels 1 and 2. The outputs are equipped with a 3-segment LED level meter, a unique feature to quickly identify channel status with no external equipment required. The new Audio De-Embedder also features a re-clocked SDI loop-thru and HDMI output, effectively making this unit the perfect companion for common LCD monitor and powered speaker setups, or any other application requiring professional audio and video connectivity from an SDI source.
